It has been a while since we heard news about the Fairy Tail anime. Now the silence has already been broken as Hiro Mashima, the creator of the Fairy Tail manga announced in his official Twitter account that the ‘final season’ of the Fairy Tail anime will be aired in 2018.

It was announced months ago that the manga will be ending this year. The final chapter (Chapter 545) will be released next week with the title “Irreplaceable Friends”.
Last May, Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry premiered in Japan and said was rumored to be the ending of the franchise’s anime adaptation. Shortly after the opening day of the movie, it was announced that the manga series will now have a few chapters left and will be ending officially this year.

The story of Fairy Tail begins with Lucy Heartfilla, a seventeen-year old wizard who ran away from to join the Fairy Tail guild. The guild is popular in the fictional world of Earth-land due to the wizard members there are filled with a lot of antics up their sleeve. She was actually invited to the guild by a “dragon slayer” wizard named Natsu Dragoneel. Along the way, Natsu and Lucy and acquainted with more members into the guild like Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlet as the go through different guild missions together and deal with evil forces along the way.
Some of you probably have mixed feelings over Fairy Tail’s development in both the manga and anime. The important thing here is that it is one of those series that you’ve been hooked on years ago and now it’s finally come to an end. The final chapter is next week— hope it will be a good one!
