Confirmed! Cast Staff and Ending Song Artists for Anime-Gataris

Friday marks the confirmed additional cast. staff with ending song artists for DMM Pictures’ new Anime-Gataris (Anime Stories) anime adaptation as revealed in the series’ official site as the fall debut of the series draws closer.

The tale of this new series tells of a new high school student of Sakeneko Private High School, Minoa Asagaya. One day, Minoa’s classmate, Arisu Kamiigusa invites her to make an “anime research club”, the thing is though, Minoa barely knows anything about anime! Still, she follows through with the invite and ends up meeting and conversing with other anime-lovers such as Miko Kouenji.

As she continues to interact with them she slowly starts to get into anime as well. But while she immerses herself in a new world she once barely knew, the student council seeks to disband the club and in addition to this, it seems there is an “end of the world” event about to occur. Still, this does not impact the club as they chat and debate on the different aspects of their passion.

Directing the series is Kenshirou Morii, recognized for having worked on the series, “Gakumon! Ōkami Shōjo wa Kujikenai.” Mitsutaka Hirota, having worked on “The Prince of Tennis II” series, will be taking charge of the series composition. Taking on both the roles of character designer and chief animation director is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ED director, so-shi.

Taking on the note of endings, the ending theme song for this series will be performed by Kaede Hondo, Sayaka Senbongi, and Hisako Tōjō with Natsumi Tadano as the writer of the song’s lyrics, and Hidekazu Tanaka as the music composer.

For the new staff, they comprise of Hiroshi Kubo as the assistant director with Emi Kesamaru working on the art setting. Taking on the role of character designer or the series is Kunio Tsujita and they will be working with Kuniyuki Teramoto, the photogrpahy director.

Simply known as Graphica, they will be working as the editor for the series. Working as the music composers for the series are both Keigo Hoashi and Kuniyuki Takahashi. Lastly, Yukio Nagasaki will be working at Studio Mouse as the sound director.

The new additional cast for the series include (from left to right) Rie Takahashi as first year student Yui Obata. Described as a friend of Minoa and a member of the track team, she worried at first when she found the Minoa had joined in the creation of the anime research club. But upon seeing how much fun her friend was having and how happy she was, she left her be. On another note she is also described to have a lot of fans in school and has liking towards yakiniku.

Mitsuki Nakano, a good looking and popular second year student is being played by Junta Terashima. He is noted to have a hidden love for idol anime, to the point that whenever the topic comes up, his personality even changes. In Minoa’s eyes though, he is a senior to look up to since he had helped her out in her time of need.

Playing as the second year and member of the anime research club Kai Musashikai is Setsuo Ito. He is described to like action anime centering on supernatural powers but is avoided by many due to his delusions of grandeur and frequent usage of lines used by action anime protagonists. He is frequently called as “Kaikai” but all yet he hates it but he is a loyal friend to Mitsuki ever since he ignored his questionable conduct to talk to him.

Finally there is third year and president of the anime research club Erika Aoyama being played by Anji Inami. Described as Minoa’s upperclassman, she is noted to generally watch all kinds of anime but holds a fondness for those involving magical girls. She also likes cosplay and previously lived in the U.S. due to her parents’ jobs.
