A new supernatural mixing with espionage series has been decided for an anime adaptation and its name is “Devil’s Line.” Created by Ryo Hanada in 2013, the series currently has nine volumes with the 10 volume being released on July 21.
To commemorate the animation of the series, a celebration will be held featuring illustrations by the creator herself. But no details has been released on this yet.
Before any other details, here is some background on the creator of the series herself. Born on June 15, 1987 Ryo Hanada has quickly risen up as a top ranker in the Japanese comic community. In 2012 she already gained high recognition with her submission BLIND earning the SquareEnix’s 2012 Young GanGan Manga Award’s Special Prize. Following after this win she continued to release self-published works until the year 2013.
This was the year that she made her professional debut with Kodansha’s premiere manga magazine, MORNING.
Kondansha, the publishing company which the magazine falls under; was first established in 1938 and is recognized as the largest Japanese publishing company.It’s now more popular magazines include, “Nakayoshi, Afternoon, Evening, and Weekly Shonen Magazine.” MORNING, otherwise known as “Weekly Morning”,was first established 1982 and was first known as “Comic Morning.”
Aimed towards adult men, the magazine contains a number of manga series that over time became a hit today. These series include the comedic series featuring a little gray kitten, “Chi’s Sweet Home”, the series simply described to be about wine, “Drops of God” and the historical fiction depicting the life of a swordsman, “Vagabond.”
With her debut with the company, the very first work she had published under them was none other the work currently being made into an anime, the supernatural espionage series, “Devil’s Line”
The story of this work tells of a world where vampires and humans coexist with one another. Starring as the hero of this story is one young woman named Azai and her life as she turns from a simple college student into a young woman being brought into mystery cases due to the fact that she holds a special ability and thus brings her new relationship vampire officer.
