
The game app The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls on Sunday released a promotional video confirming that The Idolm@ster Cinderella Gekijo is green-lit for a second season slated to air in October. The series is based on the manga of the same name created by Kuma-Jet and Bandai Namco Entertainment. The promotional video was also been uploaded on the series’ official website.
The first season anime premiered on April 4 in Japan with a total of 13 episodes. For those who wanted to watch the series, it is available in the Japanese anime streaming website Daisuki.
The anime stars the following cast: Ayaka Ohashi, Ayaka Fukuhara, Sayuri Hara, Ruriko Aoki, Hiromi Igarashi, Sumire Uesaka, Maaya Uchida respectively playing the characters Uzuki Shimamura, Rin Shibuya, Mio Honda, Riina Tada, Anzu Futaba, Anastasia, and Ranko Kanzaki.
The Idolm@ster Cinderella Gekijo series is directed by Mankyu at studio Gathering. Mankyu has also worked for the net anime adaptation of PUCHIM@S titled Puchimas! – Petit Idolm@ster - manga. Both Kuma-Jet and Bandai Namco were credited for the original character designs and original work respectively.
The five-panel manga of The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Gekijo is often released in the social mobile game The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls mobile game which is often released on its special events. The manga centered on the cute, comical, and “real” daily lives of the idols. The sixth volume of the manga was released on March 27. The manga itself also inspired a mini-drama which was released on the official The IDOLM@STER online radio program as well as an anime short was also released in November.
