10 Continuing Series and New Anime to Watch this Fall and Winter 2018

Summer is slowly running

1. Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card

Its been years since this classic shoujo series has ended and now it a new series is out featuring a new arc for the tale of a young girl who gained the ability to seal magical beings into cards. For this series Sakura, Tomoyo and Syaoran, who returned from Hong Kong enter into junior high school. But a mystery arises as Sakura begins to dream about a mysterious figure in a cloak and her cards start turning blank.

2. Osomatsu-san Season 2

The Matsuno brothers a back for a new season and from the looks of their poster, excitement awaits as the sextuplets fall back to earth following their big fight at the end of the first season.For those who may not know the series, this is the story of sextuplets, Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu and Tadamatsu and their daily adventures as 20 something NEETS.

3. Violet Evergarden

This is the tale of a world entering into a period of peace and a once warrior turned Auto Memories Doll named Violet Evergreen. Auto Memories Dolls have the ability to pass a message from a memory. upon encountering the work of these beings, Violet becomes inspired. Prior to the peace though, Violet heard a message from someone she held dearly during the batlefield but did not understand it. In her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, not only does she encounter and learn of the different emotions of the people, but she seeks out the meaning of the message she heard.

4. Mahoutsukai no Yome

16-year-old Hatori Chise has lost more than most and being all alone in the world it seems that she has little hope left. That is until the wheels of fate begin to turn for her and a mysterious mage offers her something that she could not refuse, a chance. Thus her life begins under the wind of this devilish looking magician, but did she make the right choice?

5. Gakuen Babysitters

Here is a tale to bring a smile and warm the heart and tells of older brother and high school student Ryuuchi and his toddler brother Kotarou. Following the deaths of their parents they are taken in by the chairwoman of an elite academy. There is a catch however to them having a home with the chairwoman and that is for Ryuuichi to be a new babysitter for the academy’s daycare.

6. Sanrio Danshi

Who said it was wrong for boys to like cute things? Well this anime certainly doesn’t as it tells Kouta Hasegawa, a high school boy that loves the yellow Pom Pom Purin dog. Upon encountering
Yuu Mizuno, a boy who likes the bunny My Melody he soon encounters other males who too have a fondness for other cute characters and together the group of males learn to accept their love for their seperate cute characters and not be ashamed about it.

7. Shokugeki no Souma: San no Sara

A new season has come for the series that has become known as a popular work of cooking competitions and unique reactions to good food. From what is seen in the visual, a new character is bound to make his entrance in this new season and most likely not in the best of circumstances. Still, the adventure continues for Souma Yukihira in his journey to becoming a truly great chef and beating his father.

8. Blend S

This is the story of Sakuta Nomiya, a young high schooler who after a rather unique interview ends up with a job as a waitress at a maid cafe recognized for each of its maids presenting different attributes such as “tsundere” or “little sister”. For Sakura, she is given the attribute of a Do S or extreme sadist. So along with learning the ways of the cafe, Sakura must also learn to adopt a dominant and agressive personality, something which she did not have.

9. Houseki no Kuni

In a distant future, “Gems”, genderless and immortal beings begin to populate the earth with a total of 28 Gems. They have risen and must stand to battle against the people of the Moon Dwellers who continously attack them in order to capture them and turn them into decorations. One of these gems is name Phosphophyllite and though they may be the youngest, the long to join the fight. That is until one day, they are assigned a task of creating a natural history encyclopedia by Adamantine.

10. ClassicalLoid Season 2

A new chapter comes for this unique action music involving a new a way to see the iconic musicians of the classical genre. This story tells of high schoolers Kanae Otowa and Sōsuke Kagura and how in trying to save Kagura’s grandmother’s boarding house, they encounter the ClassicaLoids Beethoven and Mozart. With a special move with their batons, they are able to do fantastical things such as make giant robots appear and dance.
