Hunters, time to sharpen those weapons! It was announced on Saturday by CAPCOM that their game Monster Hunter XX is slated to be released for the Nintendo Switch on August 25 in Japan. You can check out the promotional video below:
The new game has a new “Style Power Up” which allows hunters to label one Hunting Art as “SP Art” which grants some benefits to the whole party once it is activated. Players will also get to enjoy the new Brave Style as well as the new base called “Ryushikisen” and the new field “Igunrei”. Monster Hunter XX will have the following main monsters in which players can defeat and use their drops to create powerful items, weapons, and armory like Glavenus, Mizutsune, Gammoth, Astalos, Balfarc, and the new variant of the Diablos.
The game’s package edition is priced at 5,800 yen with the download edition at 5,546 yen. You will enjoy the game’s 1080p support for the Switch version for your televisions as well as 720p support for the portable screens. The Switch version supports both online and local multiplayer with other Switch players and online multiplayer for 3DS users. The cool thing about this is that cross-save functionality is possible for the original 3DS and Switch versions.
Here’s something for those who don’t have a Nintendo Switch yet. A limited and specially designed Nintendo Switch console will also be released in August 25 that already comes with the Monster Hunter XX game for only 36,280 yen.
If you have played the Monster Hunter XX game in the Nintendo 3DS, you would be able to play your saved game in the Switch which means that you wouldn’t have to start all over again once you have it. If you still have data from your Monster Hunter Stories game, you will receive a bonus item once you load it in the Switch version.
Monster Hunter X was released in Japan in November 2015. The game was then released in the West last July with the name Monster Hunter Generations. The Western release for the Monster Hunter Stories 3DS game is slated to be released this fall.
Now you can enjoy hunting while on the go or go on multiple hunter parties in this upcoming Nintendo Switch release of Monster Hunter XX. Although it is still released for Japan, it won’t be long for the West release to be announced anytime soon!
