Fans of the manga magazine known as a.k.a “Monthly Comic Gene” have a chance to celebrate the magazine’s 6th anniversary in style as coming on June 15 to 29, there will be festival to commemorate this. Titled the “Gene Festival,” the event will be taking place at the Shibuya Marui 8th floor event space located in Tokyo’s place.
Month Comic Gene was first established on June 15, 2011, but, it is noted that the magazine was meant to make is debut in April 2011, but it was during that time when tragedy struck, so the magazine was delayed in its release.
Another thing to note about this magazine is that while it is recognized as a shounen magazine, which she has a line of male anime enthusiasts take up a line, the female audience are the main target for the magazine.
One feature that a fan may look forward too is that on June 28, artist Matsuri will be holding an autograph session. Those who wish to take part of the session, they will have to have purchased 2 volumes of “Bakemonogatari storytelling” on the 8th floor of the Shibuya Marui shop during the event period and afterwards and make a reservation for the ticket.
For those who may be looking for some merchandise, there will be a venue where goods from the anime series “Youth spring train” “Ashin to Yogitsu ~ Our dog log ~” “Angel of slaughter” “Sutenen!” "BRAVE 10 S” will be up a draw.
Items that are up for prizes include a 300 yen trading badge and an autographed illustration. At one point, a plan has already been made to have some items to be passed to the Bushiroad EC shop after the event, and depending on the number of items, there will be a chance for oversea fans to mail order the items.
The main attraction to check out however is the costumes of the cast of the “Youth Aohara Railway” Musical being placed up for display. The display however has a changing period depending on the team; the Ikebukuro team will be held until June 20, the Shin-Echi regional team from June 21 to 25, and the central team from June 26 to 29 will be displayed.
