Streaming this summer is a new net anime featuring the comedic adventures of a magical girl
titled “Seizei Gambare Mahō Shōjo Kurumi” a.k.a “Do Your Best Magical Girl Kurumi.” Directing the series is Keisuke Matsumoto, director of the “Cosmos Pink Shock” OAV and the “Super Short Comics” ONA. Pie in the sky, animation production artist for the “Ahare! Meisaku-kun” and “GraP & RodeO” series and Wataru Uekusa, an animator of the “Ahare! Meisaku-kun” ending theme, will both be working on the character designs of the series.
“Seizei Gambare Mahō Shōjo Kurumi” is a comedic tale that tells of a 14 year old Kurumi Azuchimomoyama a middle student of the Egaogaoka Middle School. She was a normal girl with no notable qualities, but out of all people the Tasmanian devil-looking angel named “Devilun” appeared before her and granted her the ability to become “Prima Angel” a beautiful magical girl dinosaur angel warrior.
Devilun tells her that she is to battle the evil organization named “Darkness Whales” and she indiscriminately does so by taking out the members of the organization with the use of weapons that stink of blood. Also taking part in the battle by doing nothing and watching at the sidelines are the other protagonists of the series, three of Kurumi’s male classmates, Kiyoshi Suzuki, Isamu Takahashi, Shigeru Satō.
Playing as the magical girl protagonist is Yurika Kubo, the voice behind Loki of “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” Devilmun, the Tasmanian devil-looking angel will be voice by the half of the Time Machine 3-gō comedy duo, Seki Futoshi.
Starting from left to right in the character image, Kiyoshi Suzuki will be played by the voice of Ryūnosuke Tanaka in “Haikyuu!!”, Yuu Hayashi. Wataru Hatano, the voice of Kinzoku Bat in “One Punch Man” will be playing as Isamu Takahashi. Last but not least, playing as the third of the group, Shigeru Satou, is Takuma Terashima, the voice behind Kobungo Inuta in “Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East”
