Ever wanted to hear the thoughts of the cast on their own show? Well this Saturday you can as members of the staff and cast of “Boku no Hero Academia” will be covering the latest episode “Cavalry Battle Decision”, which follows the “Human Calvary Battle” event at the U.A. Sports Festival.
Making their appearance on Twitter on Saturday, 5:00 p.m. JST (Friday, 4:00 a.m. EDT) for a live-stream commentary, live react of the series’ fifth episode, talk on the upcoming episode and giving a behind the scenes look on production are Daiki Yamashita the voice behind the protagonist and aspiring hero, Izuku Midoriya, Tasuku Hatanaka the voice of the flirtatious hero with an electrification quirk, Denki Kaminari) and Wakana Okamura the producer of the series.
More than his role as the protagonist Izuku, Yamashita is also known for having played the roles of the anime/manga loving Onoda Sakamichi in “Yowamush Pedal” and most recently, music composer Yuzuriha Kanade in “Fukumenki Noise.” As for Hatanaka, he played as the voice behind Ikoma in “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” and Fudō Nomura in “Armed Girl’s Machiavellism.”
For Wakana Okamura, they have worked as a producer for a total of six series including the the popular volleyball anime “Haikyu!!” and the supernatural series “Blood Blockade Battlefront”
The overall tale of the series is set in a orld where 80% of the human race have developed superntural abilities known as “quirks” and because of this, heroes have come into existance. Izuku Midoriya wants nothing more than to be hero like his idol All Might, and though he undergoes great struggles, he works his way up to his dream. For this season it is set during the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi’s original manga.
