Himōto! Umaru-chan to Return this Fall with a Second Season

A new season is coming for the comedic slice of life series entitled Himōto! Umaru-chan. Confirmed on Thursday in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine 20th issue for this year as well as with a live stream stream on Saturday of the DaraNama Returns program, the creator of the series Sankaku Head even commemorates the news with illustrations that were posted on Twitter.

Set to be released around the fall season of this year, a teaser promotional video and visual has been released by the series’ official website and Young Jump. For the cast and staff to work on the upcoming new season, they mainly comprise of the same people who had worked on the first season of the series.

For the cast that was found in the teaser video, they were Umaru Doma, who will be played by the voice behind Paypain in “Show By Rock!” and Marimo Kaburagi in “Active Raid Second”, Aimi Tanaka. Playing as the role of Taihei Doma is Kenji Nojima, the voice of characters Seung Gil Lee in “Yuri!!! On Ice” and Kuusuke Saiki in “The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.”

As for the other returning characters presented in the teaser, they consist of Akari Kageyama, the voice of Rei in “Crane Games, Girls Galaxy” and Beatrice in “Princess Prinicple” playing as the role of Nana Ebina. Kirie Motoba will be played by Haruka Shiraishi, a voice actor recognized for having played the roles of Ayumi Himekawa in “Glass no Kamen Desu Ga” and Aoi Takizawa in “Tsukigakirei.” Last but not least, returning as Sylphynford Tachibana is the voice behind Bianca Carlisle in “Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt” Yurina Frurukawa.

Directing the series once more for the upcoming new season is Masahiko Ohta and along with him, working as series script supervisor Takashi Aoshima, and Aya Takano as character designer.
