Time for another Ani.Me Feature! Due to the hype of some yuri manga now green-lit for anime adaptations, we thought of going back to nostalgia road once again and just recall on some memorable yuri anime openings. Have you watched these series mentioned on this list? Minor spoilers ahead.

Revolutionary Girl Utena

Based on the popular manga of the same name, the story is about a tomboyish girl named Utena Tenjou who decides that she just wanted to play a prince or knight role instead of being an elegant princess. This realization is evident in her personality and choice of clothes.

Kannazuki no Miko

Chikane Himemiya is the perfect woman that anybody wants to have. Of all the people that she has met, she set her eyes on a girl named Himeko Kurusugawa. As much as she wanted Himeko to be hers, she has to go through a lot of obstacles that might risk Himeko’s life and even her own.

Strawberry Panic

Nagisa meets Hanazono Shizuma, the popular girl in her school, and grew a deep liking to her. But when Shizuma takes a liking to Nagisa, love and chaos soon follow.

Maria Sama Ga Miteru

Maria Sama Ga Miteru centers on the life of ordinary girls going through their lives in an all-girls school. For many yuri fans, this is one of the first yuri/shoujo ai series they’ve watched.
