Over the past few years up to this point, millions of viewers hastily looked for new ways to entertain themselves.
TBS Animation uploaded a second promo video for the upcoming Clockwork Planet television anime series. The trailer, which ran for more than one minute, also featured fripSide’s opening theme song, entitled “clockwork planet.”
fripSide previously performed the opening theme songs of the following television anime series: Ajin Season 2, Black Bullet, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Future Card Buddyfight 100, Schwarzes Marken, and Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya.
The Clockwork Planet anime series, under the direction of Tsuyoshi Nagasawa at Xebec, is slated to air on April 6. It was based on a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Kamiya, (author of No Game, No Life) and Tsubaki Himana, with illustrations by Shino.

In April 2013, Clockwork Planet’s first light novel volume was published by Kodansha under their Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation, with art by Kuro, has also been serialized.
Story as described by Kodansha Comics:
“Naoto’s a high school dropout and brilliant amateur tinkerer. He lives in a world that has been so over-exploited that the entire surface has become one vast machine. When a box crashes into his home containing a female automaton, it’s a harbinger of change that will rock the entire globe, and give Naoto his chance to be a hero.”
