Say hello to another anime adaptation of a male protagonist from the regular world ending up in a fantasy realm with the light novel series “In Another World With My Smartphone” a.k.a. “Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni” by Patora Fuyuhara. The story tells of a 15-year-old boy named Mochizuki Touya one day ends up in a freak accident involving lightning and winds which struck him dead.
When he woke up, he found himself face-to-face with God himself who states “I am afraid to say that I have made a bit of a blunder…” in lamentation. Still, not all is lost for the young man as God offers him an alternative for his lost life. He informs Touya that he can reincarnate him in another world filled with fantasy, and what’s more, as an added bonus, he may bring his smartphone with him.
Accepting the offer, Touya enters into an adventure with swords and sorcery as he wanders from place to place and following whatever goal caught his fancy with his smartphone by his side.
