Over the past few years up to this point, millions of viewers hastily looked for new ways to entertain themselves.
If you can’t get enough of Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, here’s something more for you! An original anime DVD (OAD) of the series is slated to be released in July 4 with some new characters especially under the Council of Ten. The announcement of the new cast was revealed on Saturday in this year’s 16th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump.
The council’s first seat member Eishi Tsukasa (see top image, person on the right) will be played by Akira Ishida. Other cast members include Shizuka Itou as Rindō Kobayashi, the council’s second seat, Rie Kugimiya as Momo Akangakubo, the council’s fourth seat, Kana Hanazawa as Nene Kinokuni, the council’s sixth seat, and Yuuki Kaji as Terunori Kuga, the council’s eighth seat.
Minami Takahashi and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka are reprising their roles as Megumi Tadoko and Soma Yukihara respectively. The role of Erina Nakiri will still be played by Hisako Kanemoto replacing the original seiyuu Risa Taneda. Taneda played Erina in the two seasons of the anime until her agency announced in August that she will be hiatus due to her illness.
