Three Individuals Charged for Sharing Digital Copies of 'your name' Movie Online

We would like to interrupt your Kimi no na wa hype to bring you this news. Three individuals in Japan were given charges by the Osaka Prefectural Police’s Anti-Cybercrime Division for sharing and distributing Makoto Shinkai’s anime film your name. without permission.

Of the three suspects, one of them is a 48-year-old who works for the local government of Kaizuka City (located in the Osaka Prefecture). They were using a file-sharing software “Share” around September to October to share the movie to the suspects’ respective computers.
