Aniplus Asia to air ‘Danmachi’ OVA on Valentines

Earlier this week, Southeast Asian channel Aniplus Asia announced that it will broadcast the Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darō ka? (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) original video anime (OVA) adaptation on February 14 at 11:30 p.m. GMT +8.

The OVA will also have an encore run on February 17.

OVA synopsis (as described by Aniplus Asia)

“On their return from defeating the powerful monster in the 18th floor, Bell and his fellow adventurers accidentally uncover a hidden, mystical hot spring. Everyone is enjoying the refreshing water until creatures lurking in the dark come forth and want them gone.”

The Danmachi OVA first premiered in Japan last December.

It is based on a Japanese light novel series, written by Oomori Fujino and illustrated by Yasuda Suzuhito, that was first published by GA Bunko in January 2013. On the other hand, its spin off, Sword Oratoria, was first published on Gangan Online from August 2014 to May 2015, and was being republished from May 2016 up to present.

The novel tells the story of a lad named Bell Cranel from Hestia Family, who was saved by a First Class adventurer, Ais Wallenstein, from a Minotaur attack. Bell falls in love with her and starts training, determined to become an adventurer worthy of her one day.

It also inspired a 13-episode television anime in 2015.
