3 Different Anime Better than its Manga Base

Many fans know that most often than not anime are meant as a work of promoting the manga in which they are based on. As such when an anime ends and a fan finds that they want more, they look over the manga that the show may be based on. With the manga, there is more details, a continuing story, and little scenes that were not seen in the anime. However, there have been a few manga that have not meet up to the expectations of a fan made from the anime. Whether it be a shift in plot development or a disappointing ending in comparison to what the anime did, there are certain manga that did not make the mark and here are three of them with one shoujo, one fantasy work, and a horror to make a small twist.

Cardcaptor Sakura

Sakura Kinomoto was like any other energetic 10-year-old with athletic skill and a kind heart. One day she comes across a strange book in her father’s collection and incidentally not only releases the magical beings that were inside but awakens the guardian beast Keroberos a.k.a Kero. Now she is given the responsibility of capturing the beings before chaos runs amuck.
In terms of art style both manga and anime are the same, however when it comes to story development that is when the two begin to diverge. Still while the development of plot and characters may be different, many fans have shared their enjoyment and praise of the show.

Princess Tutu

A fantastical tale of a duck turned human girl with the ability to turn into the most graceful of ballerinas named Princess Tutu who aims to find the lost pieces of the heart of her prince. Though similar in art and story their development, character build up, and even ending both take completely different turns. Overall it has its own unique story though told differently with its source materials.

Jigoku Shoujo

This is the tale of a girl and her companions who answered the call of those who sought revenge on their enemies and wished to send them to hell. For the anime it lasted for a total of three seasons and has been given positive comments and praise on its art style. With its manga counterpart, there is not only a complete shift in art style but in terms of story as well. Because of this both manga and anime though having the same premise seem to have gone on completely different paths.
