In case people don’t know, the World Cosplay Summit is an annual cosplay event and competition in Nagoya,Japan where representatives from different parts of the globe showcase their talent as they portray different characters from different Japanese anime, manga, video games, and related.
This continuous hype of this prestigious cosplay event has paved way to create its original anime project— definitely a first of its kind in the subculture.
The announcement of ID-O as well its main cast and project staff were revealed on Friday. The anime will have a special stage event during the Winter “Wonder Festival 2017” on February 19. Its promotion comes with the tagline: “All memories exist with ‘I-Machines’.”
Although the synopsis for this upcoming anime has not been revealed as of this time, Kazuyuki Okitsu (Saku Higita of Orange and Kazuya Nachi of Fuuka) and Minami Tsuda (Yui Funami of Yuruyuri and Megumi Yoshikawa from Wake Up, Girls!) will playing the roles of Id and Mikuri Maya respectively. Sayaka Sasaki and Hironobu Kageyama will be the performing the opening theme (“ID-0”) and ending theme (“Stellar Compass”) respectively as well.
