New Details Released on Upcoming Anime "Love Kome- We Love Rice"

During the month of November an announcement was made of a new type of anime known as “Love Kome -We Love Rice” was announced to be in production with two casted characters yet no further details have been made until now. According to the upcoming series’ website a full cast has been chosen to play for the five main characters of the series.

Playing as Hikari Hino is the man who voiced the Lev Haiba in “Haikyuu!! Second Season” and Chrono Shindou in “Cardfight!! Vanguard G” Mark Ishii. Chiharu Sawashiro who has played as Natsuke Ise in “All Out!!” and Takeru Andou in “Cheer Boys!!” is set to voice the character Nishiki Sasa. Set to voice the character Komachi Akita is voice actor Misae Komori. Acting as the voice behind the character Maru Niko is Nina Tamaki. Recognized for his different side roles in the anime “Endride” and now voicing the last of the main characters Bore Hitome is Sousuke Soma. Overall, along with the side characters there are a total of seventeen characters set to be voiced.

Featuring the unique tale of anthropomorphising rice into schoolboys, this concept is to be credited to Yuuki Takabayashi. Directing the series is Takashi Horiuchi, known to have previously directed the work “Boku was Ou-sama” while having worked in animation and production for various other works. Acting as the producer for the series is Yoshitada Fukihara, whom has previously worked as a producer for an anime entitled “Straight Title Robot Anime”.

As for the story of the series, it tells of a school known as Kokuritsu Inaho Academy where five new students that aim to supplant bread as the popular grain in school and present the appeal of rice through their unit “ Love Rice” and their performance at the “Harvest Show”
A story set to be a heartfelt comedy, this series shall be making its appearance during the month of April.
