Amazon streams ‘Ronja the Robber's Daughter’ dub trailer

Early this week, Amazon released the dub trailer for Ronja the Robber’s Daughter (Sanzoku no Musume Rōnya) television anime, revealing that it will stream the series on its Amazon Prime streaming service starting January 27.

Ronja the Robber’s Daughter is based on the book written by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren.

The anime originally aired in 2014 in Japan, composing of 26 episodes. It was directed by Gorō Miyazaki under Studio Ghibli and Polygon Pictures. The english version, on the other hand, is directed by David Freedman.

The anime also bagged the International Emmy Kids Awards’s Animation Category in 2016.

“The daughter of a professional robber, Ronja realizes the complicated nature of her father’s profession when she befriends Birk, the child of a rival tribe. Ronja struggles to balance the relationship with her family and the bond with her self-proclaimed brother Birk as she comes to understand the intricate issues of family and friendship and how differences can be overcome with the help of love and understanding.”
