More soccer anime action is coming your way this 2017 as the anime series DAYS is getting a second season! This was recently announced in the 2017 Weekly Shonen Magazine’s combined second and third issue. An earlier teaser of the sequel was announced way back in its 2017 first issue.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name created by Tsuyoshi Yasuda and was first published in the said magazine in April 2013. The first season of its anime adaptation premiered on July 2 this year targeted for a total of 24 episodes. A recent announcement from Ponycan USA reveals that they have plans to release this anime for the U.S. region.
The story is about two boys named Tsukushi Tsukamoto and Jin Kazama. Tsukushi is a guy that has no special skills whatsoever but possesses a passionate heart in secret, while Jin is an aloof soccer genius. The boys suddenly met on one stormy night which was the start of their journey into the world of high school soccer.
