The official website of the upcoming One Week Friends (Isshukan Furenzu) live action film announced this week that Yoshitaka Yamaya and Sora Amamiya, the two main voice cast of its TV anime series, will also make a voice appearance in the film.

Yoshitaka Yamaya (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu’s Sugino Tomohito, Military!’s Yamano Souhei, and Trickster’s Yamane Tasuku) played the role of Yuuki Hase. Sora Amamiya (Tokyo Ghoul’s Kirishima Touka, Aldnoah Zero’s Asseylum, and Akame ga Kill’s Akame), on the other hand, played the role of Kaori Fujimiya, and sang the anime’s ending theme song “Kanade.”
Both One Week Friends’ live action film and TV anime series were based on the manga of the same title, written and illustrated by Matcha Hazuki. It was first published as a one-shot manga in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine September 2011 issue, and was later serialized between January 21, 2012 and January 22, 2015. In 2014, Brain’s Base aired its anime television series adaptation, composing of 13 episodes. The anime series was directed by Tarou Iwasaki.
One Week Friends tells the story of Yuuki Hase, who noticed that his classmate Kaori Fujimiya is always alone. Wanting to be friends with her, Yuuki approaches Kaori, only to learn later that Kaori loses all her memories of her friends every Monday. Determined to maintain their friendship, Yuuki does his best to befriend her anew every week.

Its live action film is set to premiere in Japan on February 18, 2017. In the film, Kento Yamazaki will play the role of Yuki Hase while Haruna Kawaguchi will play the role of Kaori Fujimiya.
