Japanese advertisements are on a totally different level—there’s the zany, the downright weird, and then there are the gorgeous ones—bonus points if these feature our favorite anime characters. Luckily for One Piece fans, the series’ characters are featured in the newest “Hungry Days” ad for popular noodle brand Nissin.

There’s manga that leaves you all light and fuzzy and happy, that when a final chapter is announced you just want to bawl your eyes out because you don’t want it to end. On the other hand, there is the kind of manga that you secretly enjoy and keep it as such because liking this kind of manga might call your character into question.

Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe’s newest work has announced a new cast member in the person of singer-songwriter Aoi Shouta. According to the official website of Carole and Tuesday, Aoi will be voicing the character Pyotr, described in the website as a social media celebrity who will make his appearance in the upcoming episode this Wednesday.

During the VIZ Media’s Sailor Moon panel that was held on Saturday at Anime Central, they have revealed more cast members for the home video release of the classic Sailor Moon Sailor Stars anime. The anime originally aired in Japan from 1996 to 1997 with a total of 34 episodes.

Anime studio Lerche has just revealed the first teaser trailer for its upcoming BL (boys’ love) anime Given. The 15-second PV shows one of the lead characters, Mafuyu Sato (VA. Shougo Yano) in the staircase which is an all-too familiar place for readers of the manga.

This year’s Anime Expo just keeps getting bigger and bigger. First it was announced that renowned author of Ouran Highschool Host Club Bisco Hatori will be gracing the event as a special guest. This time, Anime Expo has announced that they will be guesting the highly-popular group from the Love Live.
