Seiyuu Idol Unit i☆Ris Cancels Upcoming Guest Appearances After Receiving Online Threat

It was announced on Thursday on the official website of the popular Japanese voice actress unit i☆Ris that they will be cancelling their upcoming guest appearances. The group is suppose to appear at the “Tokyo Idol Festival 2019” on Friday but made a decision to cancel after receiving a threat on social media.

This decision was made after consulting among themselves, the staff, and the event organizers. Aside from the mentioned event, they have also confirmed of no longer appearing on events scheduled on August 3, August 10, and also the upcoming Anime Weekend Atlanta event on October 31 to November 3.

The group consist of voice actresses as well as musical performers namely Yuki Wakai, Himika Akaneya, Saki Yamakita, Yu Serizawa, Azuki Shibuya, and Miyu Kobota. They have performed theme songs for a couple of anime titles like Magical Girl Site, PriPara, Idol Time PriPara, Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, and Magical Sempai.
