One Punch Man Season 2 Streams New PV, Previews New OP From JAM Project

More updates for the 2nd season of One Punch Man is being released as it nears its premiere! This time, we get a new promotional video from the anime’s official website. Bandai Namco Arts posted an English-subtitled version of the PV, which you can watch below:

The PV also previews One Punch Man’s newest OP theme song Seijaku no Apostle (translated by Bandai Namco Arts as Uncrowned Greatest Hero) by band JAM Project. They also sang the OP for the anime’s first season, the fan-favorite The Hero!! Ikareru Ken ni Honou o Tsukero.

One Punch Man’s 2nd season will be animated by J.C. Staff, with Chikara Sakurai taking the reins as director from Shingo Natsume, who directed the 1st season animated by veteran anime studio Madhouse. All main cast members were confirmed to reprise their roles for the second season, such as Makoto Furukawa who plays main character Saitama and Kaito Ishikawa as Genos, Saitama’s disciple.

The much-awaited second season will premiere on April 9 in Japan, Viz Media, which holds the license to for One Punch Man in North America, Latin America and Oceania, announced that they will stream the English-subtitled 1st episode as a Hulu exclusive on April 9, the same day as its Japan release.

One Punch Man started out in 2009 as a webcomic created by a manga artista known by the pseudonym ONE. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who seeks to find a worthy opponent as he has grown tired of always winning against his enemies by just using a single punch.
