‘MFKZ’ Anime Film to Release in Cinemas on Thursday

The Japan/French co-produced anime film MFKZ (Mutafukaz) is set to release in the U.K. and Ireland cinemas on October 11, Thursday. Tickets to the movie are now on sale on their official website. The movie is created by Studio 4°C and Ankama.

The English dub of the movig will star the voices America Horror Story’s Michael Chiklis, Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito, The Book of Life’s Jorge Gutierrez, Orange is the New Black’s Dascha Polanco, RZA, Vince Staples, and Predators’ Danny Trejo.

Based from the original comic series of the same name by Renards, the story takes place in “Dark Meat City”, a “pre-apocalyptic American urban jungle. A young man named Angelino gains supernatural powers after dealing with a scooter accident.

The creator of the original comic series Guillaume “Run” Renards is directing the film. In the official website of the comic by Ankama confirms that the series is inspired by 1950s science fiction, wrestling, and hip-hop music.
