Set sail together in Doraemon’s new anime film titled Nobita’s Treasure Island slated to be released in Japan on March 3.

Recently the official Doraemon Channel website revealed on Monday the title for the movie’s song by Gen Hoshino. It is titled as “Doraemon”. This was featured in the film’s third trailer first broadcasted on the TV Asahi program Good! Morning on Tuesday. The song single will be released on February 28th. Aside from the main song, Gen Hoshino will also be performing one of the movie’s insert songs titled “Koko ni Inai Anata e”.

The video below shows the recently released trailer of the upcoming film:

This is the 38th anime film for the Doraemon franchise. To give lucky fans a chance to watch it in advance, a special lottery will be held. A total of 3,000 people will be able to attend the five advance screenings that will take place in Japanese theaters on February 24-25.

The previous film of the franchise, “Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Nankyoku Kachi Kochi Daibōken” a.k.a. “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi” was released on March 4. During its run it earned more than 4.14 billion yen (about US$38.2 million) and became the highest-grossing anime in the current 12-installment Doraemon film series that began with the 2006 film “Doraemon: Nobita No Kyoryu.”

“Doraemon” is one of the longest running franchises in the anime/manga community. It began in 1969 with the manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. Over time the series grew with a variety of manga, anime, and plenty of merchandise to go around.
