'Saint Seiya' Spinoff Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

Saint Seiya is probably one of the series that shaped your childhood back in the day.

Fans of this series are in for something good as an anime adaptation of the spinoff manga Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō is green lit. The announcement was released in the official Champion RED magazine website.

The spin-off is based from the manga of the same name created Chimaki Kuori, whose known for other works like Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: The Edge, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: The Edge Desire. Champion RED have stated previously that they will be releasing an “important announcement” related the well-loved franchise.

The manga storyline is set after the Sanctuary arc after the Gemini Saga’s defeat from Masami Kurumada’s original Saint Seiya manga storyline.
