The sequel will be a continuation of the first season and centered on Sakamichi Onoda as a first-year student. The entire series will be based from the Inter High arc with the main cast of the previous season reprising their roles.

To give you a synopsis on the series, Yowamushi Pedal is about a boy named Sakamichi Oda who is an otaku studying at Sōhoku High School. Due to his love for anime and related interests, he rides his bicycle going to Akihabara which is a 60-mile round trip from his school. His life changed forever when he stumbled on Sōhoku High's bicycle team and decided to join in with them.
