Re:ZERO OVA “Frozen Bonds” Releases New Visual, Theme Song Preview

This Wednesday a 3^rd promotional video was just released for the upcoming OVA of hit isekai series Re:ZERO – Starting Life in a New World – (Re:ZERO – Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu -). The PV, which was released in KADOKAWA’s official Youtube channel, gives us more scenes of Emilia and Puck’s adventures as well as a sneak preview of the OVA’s theme song entitled, “Yuki no Hate ni Kimi no Na o” (Your Name is When the Snow Ends). The song is performed by singer nonoc, who also performed the songs “Relive” and “White White Snow” for Re:ZERO’s first OVA Memory Snow. Check out the 3^rd PV here!

In addition to a new promotional video, the franchise’s official website also revealed a stunning new visual, which you can see below:

The OVA is officially titled Re:ZERO – Starting Life in a New World – Frozen Bonds OVA (Re:ZERO – Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Hyouketsu no Kizuna). The OVA is set for a November 8 release in selected theaters in Japan.

 It will revolve around Emilia and Puck’s first meeting during the journey to Roswaal Mansion to be a candidate for the royal election. The OVA was announced after the release of the first OVA, Memory Snow, which took place after Subaru and his friends’ defeat of the demon Wolgarm. It also featured Subaru going out on a “scout mission” for his date with Emilia.

Re:ZERO – Starting Life in A New World - is a light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka. The story revolves around hikikomori (i.e., social recluse) Subaru Natsuki, who suddenly finds himself transported into another world during a trip to the nearest convenience store. Once there, he realizes that he gets “resurrected” each time he dies. An anime adaptation of the series by White Fox aired from April to September 2016, which eventually became hugely popular to fans since because of its interesting characters and unique take on the isekai premise.
