Synopsis
Following a series of events, a young woman finds herself reincarnated into a new world with a special ability from God. Now with a new and doting family, she enjoys a daily life of just fluffing and petting fantasy animals. However, her new abilities stretch farther than she imagines and soon she finds herself entangled in different kinds of chaos. Still, even with the chaos going on around her, she will find different ways to pet different animals and enjoy their fluff.
Thoughts on the Story and Characters
It has been noted that the series’ real plot begins around the 20th chapter and so far there are only 17 chapters that have been translated. Still, with these 17 chapters, a rather solid foundation was made for the series. That and a good amount of cuteness and fluff did well in being the backdrop of the plot. Basically, the series has done well to build up to the supposed plot point of the series.
That said, a majority of the series is simply put, a story involving a reincarnated character that is OP with magical creatures. Case in point, she cuddles with a white tiger familiar in the first few chapters of the series. When a series has the words “mofumofu” in its title, it is expected that there would be a lot of either cute animal cuddling or just basic animal love. The series does both in the best of ways and does well in incorporating it as its humor.
Still, among the cuteness and the comedy of the protagonist’s sheer love for any animal, there is a reasonable amount of plot slipped in. It’s a rather typical set-up of her being a noble child and shocking everyone with her skills and gaining fame with events such as one involving a dragon, but it’s not too bad and at the very least, the protagonist has a different mindset from the typical reincarnated person.
Should you Read it?
For those who fans of fantasy stories involving different creatures and involves both cuteness and comedy? Yes. While the series may be at its introductory and build up stage, it does offer something delightful for the reader to enjoy. It establishes the characters and the setting well and while a lot of them is rather typical, in comparison to other stories involving a reincarnated female, this does offer something slightly different in terms of story flow and development. On another note, this writer may just be plain biased due to the cute nature of the series. There isn’t enough cute fantasy works in novel form to be fair.
