The third “Strike the Blood” original video anime (OVA) season has been confirmed to have 10 episodes. Announced via the official website for the “Strike the Blood” anime, the release dates of the home videos were also revealed.
It was last Sunday that anime’s first promotional video revealed that there would five home video releases for the anime. Each home will have two episodes and they will be launched on December 19, March 27, May 29, July 24, and September 25. The series is set in the 17th volume of the original light novel series which follows the end of the “Holy War” (Seisen) arc.
Making his return as director of the series is Hideyo Yamamoto and he will be working at CONNECT. With him to work on the series scripts once more is Hiroyuki Yoshino. Another staff member making his return is Keiichi Sano for the character designs.
Other staff members to work on the series include Jin Aketagawa as sound director and Assumed Sounds to work on the music competition. The series opening and ending theme song have also been confirmed. Performing the opening theme song “Blood and Emotions” is Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets. As for the ending theme song “Love Stoic”, it will be performed by Risa Taneda.

The story of the series takes focus on a boy named Kojō Akatsuki. He has been deemed as the world’s most powerful vampire known as "fourth progenitor.” As a being once thought to only exist in legend and lore, he has been assigned to Yukina Himeragi. In the Itogamijima special zone for demons, she has been entrusted with watching over the vampire and if needed, hunting him down.
