The three main PreCure girls from the first two TV series, Nagisa Misumi/Cure Black, Honoka Yukishiro/Cure White, and Hikari Kujo/Shiny Luminous returns with an appearance in the manga adaptation of the 15th TV series “Hugtto! PreCure” by manga artist Futago Kamikita.
Announced on the official Twitter of the artist, they will be appearing in the latest ninth chapter of the manga. Other than the manga, the three will also be appearing in the upcoming 36th and 37th episodes to be aired on October 14 and 21.
The last time that Cure Black and Cure White made a guest appearance was in the “Hugtto! PreCure’s” 29th and 30th episodes. Their appearance was done in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Precure franchise and was also done as part of a promotional campaign for the upcoming new crossover film “Eiga Hugtto! PreCure♡Futari wa PreCure All Stars Memories.”
It was on August 9 that the first volume of the “Kamikita’s Huggto! PreCure” manga was released in two editions. Artist Futago Kamikata has been working on the PreCure manga adaptations in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi monthly magazine since its first installment, “Futari wa PreCure.” According to the artist, they rewatched first the 39th episode of “Futari wa PreCure Max Heart” for reference.
The first TV series “Futari wa PreCure” made its debut in February 2004 and ran until Jan 2005 with a total of 46 episodes. It was directed by Daisuke Nishio and received a sequel series in 2005 titled “Futari wa PreCure Max Heart.” It was in this series that Hikari joined the characters.
The “Hugtto! PreCure” anime made its debut in February with Toei Animation doing its animation production. The series is directed and Akifumi Zako and Junichi Sato with Fumi Tsubota overseeing the series composition. As for the character design, it was done by Toshie Kawamura.
