Learn more about the upcoming “Hoshiai no Sora” anime as a key visual, main cast and staff are revealed for the upcoming sports work.
“Hoshiai no Sora” is an original anime that is set to release in 2019. It will be featuring the tale of two high school boys who end up as doubles tennis partners in what is described as “waning days of their school’s soft tennis club.” In addition, the anime is described as a “life-sized story of youth”, and will be exploring the thought and feelings of the two main characters as they grow and bond through the sport of tennis.
Playing the role of Maki Katsuragi is Natsuki Hanae, a voice actor, and singer from Kanagawa Prefecture who has performed both theme songs and insert songs and a number of roles. His most prominent roles include as Ken Kaneki in “Tokyo Ghoul” and Kōsei Arima in “Your Lie in April.” Most recently, he played a role in “Overlord’ as Lukeluther Volve and is currently voicing Yū Mitarai in “Grand Blue.”
With him as Toma Shinjo is Tasuku Hatanaka who is currently playing as the shocking and comedic Denki Kaminari in “Boku no Hero Academia.” Other than this, the voice actor has also played a role in “Fastest Finger First” as Daisuke Inoue and Taiga Kōgami in the “King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO” film.
Credited for the creation of the series is Itsuka. Taking on the role of director, series composer and screenplay writer is Kazuki Akane, who majorly worked on storyboards of different episodes of anime including “Cowboy Bebop” and “Samurai Champloo.” In addition, he is known as the creator of the “Heat Guy J” manga.
Yuichi Takahashi, the character designer of “FLCL Alternative” and the “Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Movie” work is acting as the character designer and animation director of the series. Working on the animation production of the series is 8-bit, a studio which produced “How to Keep a Mummy” in the winter 2018 season.
