In a report on Monday released by the credit research company Tokyo Shoko Research (TSR) revealed that the anime production studio Production IMS has started consolidating their debt as of June 7. Based on an unnamed source, TSR stated that the staff will be entering legal proceedings and is considering to file for bankruptcy.
The company was first established in 2013 and notable for being the anime studio behind the following anime series: Inari Kon Kon, Active Raid, Haifuri, The Testament of Sister New Devil, and Date A Live II.
Production IMS has not released a statement to the public yet. However, a notice was posted on its official website as of November last year which states the company will be moving from Hikarigaoka to Nakamurabashi (both located in Tokyo). Reports also confirmed that the company began downsizing and restructuring last December.
