From Game to Anime, New Details on Pastel Memories

The upcoming anime adaptation of FuRyu’s smartphone game “Pastel Memories” has now confirmed its main staff.

Working as the director for the production is Yasuyuki Shinozaki, who previously worked as an episode director for the shoujo series “Sugar Sugar Rune.” With him to work on the series composition is Tsyuoshi Tamai, the series composer behind “Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.” Nashiki Nero, the original character designer of the work will be having their characters adapted by Shin’ya Segawa, the key animator of the “In This Corner of the World” film. Taking charge of the animation production is project No. 9.

When the anime adaptation of the game was first revealed in February, the cast of the game was listed as follows:

Set in the future year of 20XX, in the town of Akihabara, the once “the holy land of otaku”, otaku culture has declined. When viruses begin invading various fantastical worlds and stealing away people’s memories, a group of girls take a stand. With their otaku-related skills they gather at one of the few remaining otaku shops and battle against the virus.

Released in October 2017 as a Japanese role-playing video game developed by FuRyu, “Pastel Memories” has players placed into the role of a manager of one of the few remaining “otaku shops.” They “raise” various talented otaku girls, and together, players and the girls battle a "virus.”

Furyu is a Japanese entertainment company based in Shibuya, Tokyo that was founded in April 2007. The company is involved in the publishing and development of video games, mobile games, photo-booths, figures and multimedia content.

When they entered console game development and publishing in 2009, they released Last Bullet, Chou Meisaku Suiri Adventure DS: Raymond Chandler and Sekai Fushigi Hakken! DS: Densetsu no Hitoshi-kun Ningyou o Sagase! Other games that they had developed were for the “Doraemon”, “Cardfight” and “Jewelpet” franchises.
