Aya Ueto Guest Stars in Latest Detective Conan Film After 12 Years

“Detective Conan’s” 22nd film Meitantei Conan Zero no Shikkōnin”/ “Detective Conan: Zero’s Executioner” gains two new guest cast members and one of them has previously played a role in the series.

This cast member is Aya Ueto. For the film she will be playing the role of Kyōko Tachibana, a lawyer representing Ran’s father Kogorō Mori. As for her previous role in the franchise it was as herself in the 437th episode of the anime series in 2006.

With her in the film is Daikichi Hakata, the voice behind Inumaro in the “Eiga Yo-kai Watch: Enma Daioh to Itsutsu no Monogatari da Nyan!” film to play as a deceased judicial intern and former colleague of Tachibana who worked with him in the same law firm.

The film will be making its debut in Japan on April 13 and is the sequel of the 20th film, “Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare.” It tells of a story that begins with a sudden explosion at Tokyo Summit’s giant Edge of Ocean facility. Appearing at the site as Zero is the shadow of Tōru Amuro, who works for the National Police Agency Security Bureau.
