A special introduction is for the upcoming anime adaptation of “Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs” as the ecchi paranormal comedys series reveals its first PV.
Opening with a rather steamy look a the character in the hot spring, the video features the first animated look at Yuuna along with a run-down of the main cast to play in the series. The series will be making its debut in the following year.
Starring as the ghostly female protagonist Yuuna Yunohara is Miyuri Shimabukuro; this will be her first ever main voice acting role since her side role as a student in the “Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode.” With her as the ghostbusting male protagonist, Kogarashi Fuyuzora is Yuuki Ono, who recently played a role as Isami Aldini in “Food Wars! The Third Plate.”
Eri Suzuki, who played a role in “Flying Witch” as Chinatsu Kuramoto, will be taking on the role of Chisaki Miyazawa for the series. Lastly, playing the role of Sagiri Ameno is Rie Takahashi, known to have played the role of Mash Kyrielight in “Fate/Grand Order.”
At this time there is no staff confirmed for the series. Not even when it was announced in the previous month was there a note on who would work on the adaptation.
“Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs” a.k.a. “Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san” is a ecchi paranormal comedy manga that was written and illustrated by Tadahiro Miura. Serialized by Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 8, 2016 the series currently has eigth tankobon volumes. Coming in March 2018 is an English release under Seas Entertainment’s Ghost Ship imprint.
The story of the series takes focus on one Kogarashi Fuyuzora, a luckless and homeless high school student who is simply looking for a place to call home. While in search of a home he is introduced to the cheap boarding house and former hot springs inn that is Yuragi Inn.
Apparently, the reason that the rent is as cheap as it is, is becase the inn is haunted by the beautiful ghost spirit Yuuna whose corpse was discovered. Upon meeting the wandering spirit, Kogarashu makes it his mission to help Yuuna with her unfinished business, all while discovering the supernatural secrets of the rest of the female tenants.
