There’s a double in cuteness for the “Gakuen Babysitters” franchise as a collaboration with Sanrio is revealed via the January issue of LaLa magazine. In addition to the collaboration was the reveal of the theme songs performers and the confirmation of the anime’s release on January 7, 2018.
For the collaboration, an illustration featuring the young characters of the series in Sanrio character onesies was revealed. Starting from left to right, there is Midori as Kuromi, Kirin as My Melody, Kotarō as Cinnamoroll, Takuma as Keroppi, Kazuma as Tuxedo Sam, and Taka as Pompompurin. Other details for the collaboration are still under works.
The first of the theme song performers is Daisuke Ono, and artist known not only as a performer for different theme songs including the ending theme song of “Osomatsu-san” but also as a voice actor whose various roles include Sebastian Michaelis from “Black Butler.” He will be performing the opening theme song, "Endless happy world.” Performing the ending theme song, “Oshiete yo” (Tell Me) is the unit Hyorotto Danshi, comprised of Kōtarō Nishiyama (Ryūichi) and Yuichiro Umehara (Hayato).
The schedule for the anime’s release on January 7, 2018 starts at 11:00 p.m. and is to be broadcasted on Tokyo MX. Followed after is a showing on Sun TV and BS11 at 12:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m., respectively, on Wednesday, January 10.
“Gakuen Babysitters” tells the story of brothers Ryūichi and Kotarō Kashima. The two had recently lost their parents and now Ryūichi is entering into high school. Suddenly the brothers find themselves taken under the wing of the chairwoman of the Morinomiya Academy, who herself lost her son and daughter-in-law in the same accident and are given an offer. In exchange of the two living with her Ryūichi has to work at the academy’s daycare center as a babysitter.

The manga series by Hari Tokeino has recently published the 15th compiled volume on October 5. It first released in 2009 and has since been published by LaLa DX magazine.
