Coming together for a collaboration campaign is piglet boy Panpaka and golden retriever mascot Pompompurin. Fans of the two characters will have a chance to enjoy a variety of merchandise and even a short anime film coming in October.
Said merchandise for the collaboration include character goods, an online manga, and LINE stickers. More than this there will be a pop-up cafe and for the film, it will be screened at 40 Aeon Cinemas throughout Japan and will be running for a limited time of two ’s anime, “Panpaka Pants”
For those who may not be familiar a
“Panpaka” is the main the children’s anime produced by DLE. Running first in 2008 as a series of 1-minute shorts, the series officially became what is is today.
The series is a comedy work which tells of the plant adventures of one piglet boy name “Panpaka” alongside his friends as they set on adventures in search of a specific plant.
Currently the series has a second and third season with 26 episodes for both of them. The main cast aside from Yoshino comprise of:
Kaoru Mizuhara as Punyan
Shinya Takahashi as Boark
Mariko Kouda as Croli
As for Pompompurin, otherwise known as Pudding dog or simply Purin; he is a laidback golden retriever dog of the Sanrio company and was born in April 1996. He is described to live in own basket is his sister’s owner home, loves caramel pudding and holds a brown berett as his signature look. He will be joining Panpaka in the film.
On the note of the short anime film to span for two weeks, the dates are October 07 to 20 2017. Titled “Panpaka 7 You-". It will be featuring a theme song to be performed by the voice actor behind the Panpaka and many other characters including Kudou Aikou, from the “Baka to Test” franchise. Yoshino Nanjou.
There is no other details revealed from this but fans can still enjoy a promotional video of the collaboration and get further details from the official website.
Aside from these it has been noted that the ball will be a first promotional work for the “Panpaka” series.
