Starting on September 2, a “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN Special Issue” will be sold in all main station shops and convenience stores in the country for just 500 yen. Furthermore, details have been released for the 5th episode of the series and it’s showing.
The issue will be 24 page work and in a tabloid-style. Other stores that will be selling the issue include game stores, the Gundam Cafe located in Akihabara and more.
As for the fifth episode which is titled, “Clash at Loum”, it will be having a four week screening starting on September as well. In addition to both the special issue and screening, there will also be an interview involving a member staff and cast to be posted. Said member of the staff is Director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who previously worked as the animation director of the first and original “Mobile Suit Gundam” series.
For the cast there is Toru Furuya, who voices supporting character, Ray Amuro. Then there is Megumi Han, the voice of main character Sayla Mass and Toshio Furukawa, who voices Kai Shiden. Lastly are Miyuki Sawashiro, who plays the role of Crowley Hamon and Shigeo Kiyama, the voice behind Ramba Ral.
There will be a discussion on the ongoings of the series production, a comparative discussion between the First Gundam and THE ORIGIN, commentary on the CG, mechanics and even the extra large poster in the course of the interview.
“Mobile Suit Gundam THE Origin” is a shounen mecha series written and illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and is a part of the iconic Gundam franchise. The series currently has 23 volumes in total with 12 volumes in English and Kadokawa Shoten and Viz Media working the publications respectively.
