Think before you tweet—this was a lesson learned for Takuro Takahashi, the episode director of Katsugeki! Touken Ranbu after he made unpleasant and inappropriate tweets about the anime while he was drunk.
The specific episode that he was commenting about was in episode 8 where he made vulgar comments on the character Yagen Toshiro that he wanted to horse lick him. He also commented that the way the horse was drawn in the episode and the licking sound that it made was like a man’s genitals. He admitted that he doesn’t remember the things that he tweeted but he had deleted all his tweets.
The representative director and founder of ufotable Hikaru Kondo has posted an apology in the studio’s official website regarding Takahashi’s actions and the staff is now reflecting on this and will do what it takes to avoid another similar incident in the future.
