Hiromasa Yonebayashi, the director of “The Secret World of Arrietty”, acted as the director for the film. The Studio head himself, Yoshiaki Nishimura, acted as the producer for the film. For the script of the film, two people took charge, Riko Sakaguchi and the director himself.
In comparison to Nishimura’s work when he was still with Studio Ghibli, the film only half of “Kari-gurashi no Arrietty” a.k.a. “The Secret World of Arrietty” which made 900 million yen with 680,000 ticket sales in its opening weekend in July 2010 but did marginally better than “Omoide no Marnie” a.k.a. “When Marnie Was There” did in July 2014, having earned 379 million yen with 285,200 tickets.
