Even more details for the upcoming romance series “Love and Lies” has been revealed as the debut date of July 3 draws nearer. This time, the official website has released another trailer on Tuesday with the new details; but first, a little background.
“Love and Lies” is a series that first began as a manga series created by Musawo and published in DeNA’s MangaBox app in both English and Japanese in August 2014. Currently, Kodansha is releasing a fifth volume of the series in November.
The story of the series is set in a world where the concepts of lies and love are both forbidden. Relationships are chosen at the age of 16 by the government and many have grown content with this life. However, things are about to change with one Yukari Nejima, a 15-year-old who lives in a small corner of the country. While unlucky in life, he holds within him a deep fire of passion! Now how will this fare should he fall in love?

In regards the newly released trailer, it not only gave a sneak peek into what the opening theme song, which “Kanashii Ureshii” (Sad and Happy) by the four-member rock band Frederic is like, but it also gave details on additional cast.
The additional cast revealed include, Kishou Taniyama, the voice of Crow in the music series “Show by Rock!” as Labour and Welfare’s Hajime Yajima of the Ministry of Health. With him is Tomoyo Kurosawa, who played Kumiko Oumae in the “Sound! Euphonium” series, as another member of the Ministry of Health’s Labour and Welfare unit Kagetsu Ichijō. Taking on the role of the narrator for the series is Eri Kitamura, the voice behind Ryouko Sawamura in “Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.”
