New Silhoutte and Cast Plans are Up for Jūni Taisen Anime

The studio for the upcoming anime adapatation “Jūni Taisen: Zodiac Warriors”, Avex Pictures continues to tease audiences as they reveal a new silhouette and made an announcement for the cast to play in the new series.

Before that, here is a little background on the series adapted from a light novel of the same name. The series was first published in May 2015 and is a creation of writer NisiOisin and illustrator Hikaru Nakamura.

Other than this novel, NisiOisin also created the comedy supernatural light novel and worked on the story of the CLAMP series “xxxHolic.” As for Hikaru Nakamura, they are known as the creator of “Arakawa Under the Bridge” and the “Saint Young Men” film.

Prior to this new tease, the studio revealed background images on the 12th of the previous month and in continuation of the 12th of the month revelation pattern, there will be an online event held by the company on Monday.

At this online event to be held at the official site midnight JST, there will be a revelation of cast and their details every two hours, so for each character, there will be a two-hour time block. So for example, as the characters embody the 12 animals of the Zodiac, the cast member, character profile, and character design of the Rat may be revealed from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

As for the tale of the upcoming series, as stated it takes on the theme of the 12 animals of the Zodiac. The story is set in a world where twelve warriors become burdened with one of the 12 names of the Zodiac and for the sake of their lives and pride, are made to battle on another, all in order to have a single wish granted.

Directing the series is Naoto Hosada, the director of the comedy series “(The) Devil is a Part-Timer!” Working on the series composition is Saduyuki Murai, who is currently composing for the sixth season of “Natsume Yuujinchou.” Chikashi Kadeka, known to have worked on the key animation of a variety of series, is working as the character designer of the series. Last but not least, composer Gou Shina is composing the music at the studio.
