‘Fox Spirit Matchmaker’ to Premiere on July 1 – Promotional Video, Cast, and Staff Revealed!

What a great anime to welcome the upcoming month of July!

The popular webmanga by Xiao Xin titled Fox Spirit Matchmaker will be having its own anime adaptation slated to premiere on July 1 and will be running in a total of 24 episodes. A Promotional Video has been released as well as new characters and cast added into this anticipated anime series. You can check out the promotional video below:

The webmanga series is titled as “狐妖小红娘”and the number of PVs that are produced for this popular series has already exceeded 7.37 billion as of May 2017.

The story of Fox Spirit Matchmaker centers in a world where Sprits and Humans live together and fall in love regardless of what they are. Since spirits have far superior life, it’s expected that they will be able to witness their Human partners to die before them. Although humans can be reborn, their memories are completely erased.

There is a “service” by the spirits called “Fox Spirit Matchmakers” where they can reborn the lost memories of their former lover. So whenever a Spirit loses their partner, they can avail this “service” and start life over again.

Tencent Inc./Fox Spirit Matchmaker Production Committee has also unveiled new characters and cast such as:

Tosan Yaya (Seiyuu: Yonezawa Madoka)

Yaya is the eldest among the Tosan sisters as well as the strongest of her entire clan. She has the power to manipulate ice.

Tosan Lolo (Seiyuu: Kanemoto Hisako)

Lolo is the Tosan Family’s second daughter and the “brain” of the family. Due to her wit and being articulate, she is also responsible for managing the family business.

Ou Fuuki (Seiyuu: Kirii Daisuke)

Fuuki will be Haku Gessho’s first rival in the series. His spirit power is of low levels and doesn’t like to deal with things related to spirits. He is wealthy but very arrogant.
