The ‘Sailor Moon’ Smartphone is a Must Have for Every Die-Hard Fan!

Sailor Moon is considered as one of the most popular magical girl shows. Until this day, its fanbase grows and looking forward to the next wave of merchandise and other related media to satisfy their great love for the series.

If you are a die-hard Moonie (the name being called if you’re a Sailor Moon fan), then this one would be another addition to your ever growing colleciton—at the same time, it something that you can use on the go! The Sailor Moon M8 smartphone!

It was recently announced that a Sailor Moon M8 Smartphone will be in production. The manufacturer however is not from Japan but will be produced in China. The phone’s specs have not been released yet—the only thing we know is that along with the purchase of this fabulous smartphone unit, it comes to with a selfie stick which has a design inspired by Sailor Moon’s magical moon rod. The selfie stick also comes with a small remote control for you to take selfies without the hassle. The phone is in the shades of pink and gold which is almost the known colors for the Sailor Moon series.

The smartphones are developed by Meitu, a Hong-Kong based technology company and they will release around 10,000 units of the smartphone. Due to the massive hype of Sailor Moon, the company is already predicts that the units will immediately be sold out once it hits the international and online markets. With a price tag of 48,500 yen (around US$428), it’s time to start saving most especially if you are a super Sailor Moon fan since the 90s. This is an ultimate smartphone must-have for any Moonie out there!

About the Series

To give you some basic information about the series, Sailor Moon is a popular mahou shoujo magical series created by Naoko Takeuchi. It tells the story of an ordinary girl named Usagi whose life changed forever upon meeting a talking cat named Luna. It was to find out that Usagi was chosen and destined to be the fighter of love and justice named Sailor Moon. Together with the other Sailor Scouts, it is their duty to protect the earth from whatever evil appears and to keep the peace.

The manga series was so popular that it paved way for an anime adaptation as well as a number of musical plays and animated movies.
