Official Website Reveals Cast, Staff and Premier for Natural Light's "Clione no Akari"

Learn more about the upcoming series “Clione no Akari” as the official website reveals the staff, cast and expected release for the production. Based on the novel of the same name by “Natural Light”, this is the tale of an orphan girl named Minori. Ill-stricken and constantly bullied, Minoru suddenly doesn’t turn up at school one rainy day and is last heard to have been admitted into a hospital in a distant town.

For two months, her friends heard nothing from her. But one day,Takashi and Kyōko, Morino’s school friends, receive an email with no return address, inviting them to a summaer festival taking place in a nearby town.

Set to be released this July, the series, Naoya Ishikai, director of the “Kuttsukiboshi” and “Bincho-tan Jishu Seisaku Movie – Aozora ni Wasure Mono” OAVs will be acting as the director for this series. Working alongside Natural Light (who is working as the character designer) on the scenario are MOLICE, Tsukasa, Takeshi Onaka.

Recognized for his music work in the “Condition Green” and “Mystery of the Necronomicon”, Kazuhiko Izu will be working as the sound director of the series. Aki, a former member of the idol group SKE48 will be performing both the opening theme “Clione no Akari,” and the ending theme “Sora o Tobu Kaze.”

For the cast, playing as the protagonist Minori Amamiya is the singer Sayuri Matsamura.

Shunya Ouhira, who played as Akane Fudō in the “B-PROJECT on Stage Over the Wave!” stage play, will be playing as one of Minori’s school friends, Takashi Aoi.

Voicing as Minori’s other school friend Kyōko Tsukihashi is the voice actor behind characters Mirai in “Crane Game Girls Galaxy” and Shine in “Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii”, Natsuko Hara.

Playing as Nanami Yukine, one of the additional cast revealed, is Riko Sasaki.

Riho Iida, the voice of Mounsuto in “Chōyū Sekai: Being the Reality” and Rin Hoshizora in “Love Live! School idol project” will be playing as Yuna Nagino.

Character Kaho Ichinose will be played by the voice behind Shiori Sakurada in “Castle Town Dandelion” Aina Suzuki.

Recognized for her role in “Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia” as Aine Chidorigafuchi and “Princess Principal” as Beatrice, Akari Kageyama will be playing as Sayaka Hama.

Gen Isozaki, the second male of the cast revealed, will be played by Yuuki Fujita

Misaki Ouhashi will be playing as he third male of the group, Kousuke Okishima.

Shouta Sayama will be played by Moa Tsukino, who played as Min in “To be Hero”

Last but not least, playing as Sakura Inoue, is Kana Aoi, the voice behind Akane Kowata in “Flying Witch”
