Southeast Asian channel Aniplus HD announced on Tuesday, February 7, that it would simulcast the much awaited season two of the Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) television anime series.
Based on Hajime Isayama’s original manga of the same name, the Attack on Titan anime’s second season is slated to air in Japan on April 1. Aniplus said it would stream the series starting April 2.
In a separate statement, FUNimation Entertainment confirmed that it would also simulcast the series.
The new season’s synopsis by Aniplus HD:
“Ever since the day the Colossal Titan appeared and destroyed the peace and dreams of humanity, Eren Jaegar’s endless fight continues… After helplessly watching his mother get devoured by a Titan, Eren vows to exterminate every single one of them from the face of the world.
A new battle is already upon them. A horde of Titans advances toward Wall Rose! How will mankind stand against them?”
The season one of the anime first aired from April to September in 2013, composing of 25 episodes. Tetsuo Araki, who directed the first season, will be the second season’s chief director. Masashi Koizuka, meanwhile, will take over the episode director post.
