In its official Twitter account, Clockwork Planet announced on Thursday, January 5, that After the Rain will perform the anime series’ ending theme song: “Anticlockwise.”
The duo, Soraru and Mafumafu, will also perform the upcoming Atom The Beginning television anime series’ opening theme song: “Kaidoku Funō.” After the Rain previously performed “First End,” the opening theme song for Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage.
On the other hand, fripSide will perform the series’ opening theme song.
The anime, under the direction of Tsuyoshi Nagasawa at studio Xebec, is slated to premiere in April next year on TBS and BS-TBS. It was based on a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Kamiya (No Game, No Life) and Tsubaki Himana, with illustrations by Shino.

In April 2013, Clockwork Planet’s first light novel volume was published by Kodansha under their Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation, with art by Kuro, has also been serialized.
